A Masterclass in Deception

On December 18, 2022, McCullagh committed a frenzied and brutal assault on Ms. McNally at her residence in Lurgan. To provide himself with an airtight alibi, he executed an "elaborate charade" that utilized his platform as a content creator.
While he was physically present at Ms. McNally’s home dressed in a disguise and equipped with gloves to evade forensic detection a pre-recorded video of him playing Grand Theft Auto was broadcast on his YouTube channel. In the footage, recorded four nights prior, McCullagh was seen wearing a Santa hat, consuming snacks, drinking Guinness, and making jokes. He explicitly stated to his viewers, “I am not leaving the house tonight,” effectively planting a digital footprint 17 miles away from the crime scene.
The Trial and Forensic Findings
