Nigerian streamer and content creator Carter Efe has lost his TikTok account after the platform permanently banned the page, which had grown to more than 5.6 million followers.
The ban was reported on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, after screenshots of the account’s restriction began circulating on social media. Reports say TikTok cited multiple violations of its community guidelines, although the specific violations that led to the permanent ban have not been publicly detailed.
Carter Efe, whose real name is Oderhowho Joseph Efe, had built one of Nigeria’s largest entertainment audiences on the platform through comedy content, music-related posts and livestreams.
At the time of the ban, the account reportedly had more than 5.6 million followers and over 158 million likes, making the loss significant for the entertainer’s digital presence.
TikTok account removed over policy violations

According to Legit.ng, a video circulated on X showing Peller appealing to his fans to report Carter Efe’s TikTok account. In the video, Peller reportedly accused Carter Efe of making comments that suggested he did not want other creators to succeed.
The resurfaced clip generated additional discussion because it appeared online shortly after Carter Efe’s account was permanently removed.
However, the existence of the video does not establish that Peller or his followers caused the ban. TikTok has not publicly linked the enforcement action to the resurfaced incident.
