Nigerian street-pop star Zlatan Ibile has announced October 24, 2026, as the date of his wedding celebration with his longtime partner, Davita Lamai.

The rapper shared the announcement in a pre-wedding video posted on Instagram on Thursday, October 8, accompanied by the caption “24 October 2026” and the hashtag #DTTheUnion.

Couple Shares Emotional Wedding Announcement

The announcement video features one of the couple’s children speaking about the love and bond his parents share.

“When I think about love, I think about my mummy and daddy,” the child says in the video, describing their relationship as one built on laughter, support and feeling loved.

He also acknowledges his younger brother as part of their family’s story before inviting viewers to save the date for the upcoming celebration.

The family-centred announcement has attracted congratulatory messages from fans and fellow entertainers. Afrobeats star Davido was among those who reacted to the announcement, commenting, “Na man U be.”

Zlatan and Davita Have Two Children Together

Zlatan and Davita have been together for several years and share two sons. Their first son was born in 2020, while their second child, Benaiah, was born in 2024.

The couple have generally kept details of their family life private, although occasional social media posts have offered glimpses into their relationship.

Their wedding announcement follows months of public speculation about their marital status. Reports earlier this year suggested that they had held a private civil ceremony, although the couple did not publicly discuss the details at the time.

Fans Await Wedding Celebration

The October 24 announcement has generated excitement among fans of the rapper, whose energetic street-pop sound helped establish him as a prominent figure in Nigeria’s music industry.

Zlatan rose to wider prominence with songs such as Zanku (Leg Work) and Lagos Anthem, building a following through his distinctive delivery, dance-inspired music and collaborations with other Nigerian artists.

Although the wedding date has been confirmed, the couple have not publicly disclosed the venue, guest list or other details of the celebration.

With the date now announced, fans and colleagues are looking forward to the celebration as Zlatan and Davita prepare to mark the next chapter of their relationship.
