Strengthening the Security Infrastructure

To fund this transformation, the President highlighted that the 2026 federal budget allocates ₦5.41 trillion to the defense and security sector the largest such appropriation in Nigeria’s history.

In a firm message to criminal elements, the President issued an ultimatum to bandits, kidnappers, and their sponsors: “Surrender or face the full force of the Nigerian State.”

Tinubu emphasized that the window for surrender is temporary and warned that his administration will show no mercy to those who orchestrate violence.
