OSOGBO — Gearing up for a high-octane political showdown ahead of the upcoming gubernatorial election, a prominent federal lawmaker, Mr. Bamidele Salam, has injected a massive logistical boost into the re-election campaign of the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke. Salam has officially donated a fleet of 10 utility buses and 150 brand-new motorcycles to facilitate grassroot operations across the state.

The massive donation was disclosed in an official press statement personally signed by the federal lawmaker and made available to journalists in the state capital of Osogbo. Salam, who proudly represents the Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, noted that the mobility assets are strategically positioned to empower frontline campaign coordinators as they scale up voter sensitization efforts across local communities.

Empowering the Grassroots: 42 Wards Primed for Intensive Door-to-Door Outreaches

The formal presentation and handover of the vehicles occurred during the official launching ceremony of the Accord Party’s regional campaign apparatus across the federal constituency in Ede. Salam, who serves a dual role within the political structure as the Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee of the Imole Campaign Council, stated that the assets would be decentralized and distributed systematically.

According to the deployment layout, the 10 campaign buses and 150 motorcycles will be distributed directly to ward-level coordinators carefully drawn from all the 42 political wards that comprise the federal constituency. The strategic goal is to solve local transportation bottlenecks, dramatically enhance door-to-door voter engagement, and solidify the party's grassroots mobilization network in remote rural clusters.

"These logistics tools are designated exclusively for the ward-level coordinators who shoulder the daily responsibility of driving our localized campaign activities," Salam explained, while heavily charging the beneficiaries to manage the mobility equipment with the highest level of administrative responsibility. He further expressed absolute confidence that Governor Adeleke's performance track record would translate into an overwhelming victory at the polls.

Solidifying Support: Party Stalwarts Applaud Strategic Investment

Receiving the logistics fleet, prominent political figures and campaign executives took turns to praise the lawmaker's immense financial commitment toward strengthening the party's field structure.

In her keynote remarks at the launch, the elder sister to the state governor, Mrs. Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni, highly commended the timely initiative. She implored the various ward recipients to deploy the vehicles effectively for the assignment, stressing the absolute importance of observing optimal safety and civil decorum during the highly intense campaign period.

Similarly, the Director-General of the Imole Campaign Council and Minority Leader of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Lere Oyewumi, lauded the development, describing the donation as a testament to Salam’s deep-seated commitment to grassroots politics and sustainable party development. Oyewumi maintained that elected public office holders must continuously leverage their platforms to deliver tangible impacts, empower local party frameworks, and improve the lives of their constituents.

Adding weight to the deployment, the Chairman of the Imole Campaign Council, Professor Wale Oladipupo, formally inaugurated the campaign committee for the Ede Federal Constituency. Oladipupo charged the freshly minted committee members to maximize the new vehicles to double their mobilization efforts, expressing profound optimism regarding Adeleke's re-election prospects. The newly inaugurated constituency campaign council is structurally led by Elder Sunday Atidade Akande as Chairman, with local government council chairmen and seasoned party stakeholders serving as functional board members.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) previously confirmed that official campaign activities for the Osun State gubernatorial race commenced on March 11. With the highly anticipated governorship poll firmly scheduled by the electoral umpire for August 15, 2026, various political parties have aggressively intensified their community outreaches, utilizing high-impact logistics to win over the electorate and secure the coveted mandate at the state house.
