RIYADH — Al Nassr have been crowned champions of the 2025/26 Saudi Pro League following a decisive final matchday. A 4-1 victory against Damac Club at the King Saud University Stadium secured the title for the Riyadh-based club, finishing two points clear of their closest rivals, Al Hilal.

Ronaldo Leads the Charge

Cristiano Ronaldo, whose arrival in January 2023 marked a transformative era for the club, played a starring role in the clincher. The Portuguese forward netted two goals in the victory, bringing his personal tally to 28 league goals for the season. This triumph marks his first Saudi Pro League title and adds to his collection of domestic league championships across Portugal, England, Spain, and Italy.

The match saw a dominant attacking display, with former Liverpool winger Sadio Mané opening the scoring late in the first half. Kingsley Coman extended the lead shortly after the break before Ronaldo’s clinical double sealed the win and the championship. Visibly moved, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was substituted in the closing minutes to a standing ovation from the home crowd.

A Hard-Fought Campaign

The path to the title was far from straightforward. Al Nassr had faced a nervous week after a 1-1 draw against Al Hilal and a difficult loss in the AFC Champions League Two final against Gamba Osaka. However, the squad maintained their composure to deliver when it mattered most.

Reflecting on his time in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo has now surpassed 100 goals for the club across his three seasons. The league title serves as a major milestone, particularly as he prepares to represent Portugal at the 2026 World Cup this summer.

Cristiano Ronaldo captains Al Nassr to their first league crown since his arrival, cementing a historic season with a 4-1 victory over Damac.
