MUNICH — FC Bayern Munich has achieved a historic milestone in the 2025/26 season, becoming the first club in German football history to secure both the men’s and women’s domestic doubles (Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal) in the same season. This rare feat cements the 2025/26 campaign as one of the most successful years in the club’s storied history.

A Season of Dominance

The success of the "double double" was realized following a triumphant performance by the men’s team in the DFB-Pokal final.

The Men's Double: Under head coach Vincent Kompany, the men’s team secured their 35th Bundesliga title before capping off their campaign with a decisive 3–0 victory over VfB Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal final at Berlin's Olympiastadion. Harry Kane proved instrumental in the final, netting a hat trick to ensure the silverware returned to Munich. This marked the club’s 14th domestic double.
The Women's Double: The women’s team similarly dominated the domestic stage. They secured their Bundesliga title in style completing an invincible league season and added the DFB-Pokal trophy to their collection with a commanding 4–0 victory over VfL Wolfsburg.

Shared Success

The two teams mirrored each other's success throughout the season, not only by claiming domestic trophies but also by achieving deep runs in European competition. Both the men’s and women’s squads reached the semi-finals of their respective Champions League tournaments, highlighting the synchronized growth and competitiveness across both professional departments.

To celebrate the historic achievement, Serge Gnabry (representing the men’s squad) joined Jovana Damnjanović and Pernille Harder (representing the women’s squad) at the FC Bayern Museum to present the four major trophies together on one stage a first for the club.
